Important for Me To Embrace

The following is a devotion related to the mass readings I heard at my parish this week. I am hoping to embrace more the ideas of this devotion:

In detachment, the spirit finds quiet and repose for coveting nothing. Nothing wearies it by elation, and nothing oppresses it by dejection, because it stands in the center of its own humility.

-- St. John of the Cross

It seems that it could be a way to provide some of the comfort I seek.

  1. Jesusfuckingchrist, go buy a Playboy or Easy Riders. Or have the stupid part of your brain removed, there's a term for that but I can't recall at the moment what it is.

I'll have a post up in the morning about the letter and graphic cutting machine for making signs and such.

  2. There's no such thing as a good catholic, that's why they do that confession shit, get the fuck over it.

Fuck, catholics are so brainwashed, that religion irritates the hell out of me.

I mean, shouldn't... You had better go to confession, hahaha

That reminds me, the first gal I ever screwed dragged me to church the next morning so she could go to confession. As I understand it, she went to confession a lot. :-)

Frankly, I didn't feel the need for that shit.

  5. Wow, you got BBC all upset Professor. Notice how when he gets defensive and hurt he reverts back every time to trying to shock everyone's minds with his language. He hopes that no one will notice that he really has nothing to say and has little intelligence. All he can do is cuss and try to create foul images. Wow, that is a talent.

So much for a live and let live attitude huh BS I mean BBC.

  6. Professor didn't get me all upset at all, this is simply how I am. Anonymous may be an idiot. Intelligent, but an idiot none the less.

After all, only an idiot would spend her life in New Jersey and New Orleans.

  7. In our scriptures, there is a state called sthitapragnya, dispassionate, uninvolved, an observer.
    Comes close to this.
In Buddhism too, they have nirapeksha- similar concept.

What a kind world we live in.

  9. 2. Bing Crosby was a pipe smoker.... to me that suggests your subconsciousis is trying to tell you that you *should* still get one of your friend's pipes that he offered to give you. :)

My subconscious my ass, wash your hands before playing with your brain, the oil on your fingers are fucking it up. :-)

To hell with that shit, service the heifer to get to the comfort you need. If she isn't into it get it somewhere else.

Catholic women are expected to take care of the sexual needs of their men you know.

  14. A Zimbabwean man has told a court that he hired a prostitute who during the night transformed into a donkey, and that he is now "seriously in love" with the animal,

This is one strange planet, of course he was drunk and caught screwing a donkey.

I'm happy to report that my friend did not turn into a donkey, hahaha

  15. BBC is showing off his intellect again.

As I read his posts I am amazed by his intense need for attention. I suppose this is because he gets none in his daily life. So sad, I do feel bad for him.

Everyone look at BBC and smile so he does not feel so lonely. It is hard for an old man to live with no friends or family.

    We love you BBC.
Don't cry. It will be alright.

I appreciate all forms of comments on my writings. I find that I miss the sponteneity of coming to read them here when they were unmoderated. I believe I wrote less due to the moderation. I have decided to adopt limited moderation. Hopefully the prior problems with unfettered comments will not arise again. Please feel free to comment as you wish about the essays I write. I will maintain those comments that offer kind-hearted and gentle opinion... be it positive or negative. The opinions of your comments will, of course, need to have relevance to the post as well.
