Trying To Continue

This time of the year (usually from mid-February to about the first day of Spring) is a time that I consider the "doldrums" of the year. In my family, a disproportionate number of my relatives have died (for instance, both my parents, at least 5 aunts and uncles, and various other relatives). In addition, this time of the year tends to be the most chaotic and challenging at the U. This year, the work at the U is indeed tough. But I keep telling myself that there is roughly only one more week until Spring and things will start becoming better. I simply have to persevere.

  1. There are 'experts' that insist that if you persevere at something you can make it happen. They are of course full of shit.

You've got to know when too hold them, know when to fold them, know when to walk away, know when to run.

Anyway, you aging fart, get used to people dropping like flies around you, at least if you are still here you you're not one of them, yet.

I've outlived almost everyone I cared about, yea!!! I'm the winner. :-)

I appreciate all forms of comments on my writings. I find that I miss the sponteneity of coming to read them here when they were unmoderated. I believe I wrote less due to the moderation. I have decided to adopt limited moderation. Hopefully the prior problems with unfettered comments will not arise again. Please feel free to comment as you wish about the essays I write. I will maintain those comments that offer kind-hearted and gentle opinion... be it positive or negative. The opinions of your comments will, of course, need to have relevance to the post as well.
