Damn Cold!





We have been lucky during much of the winter (winter unofficially starts here between October 15th and November 1st) with unusually warm temperatures, a fair number of  times hitting above freezing, and even one or two days in the 40s.  So, I really should not complain.  But, damn, the sudden change to "normal" winter weather (temperatures hovering around zero, with wind chills far into the negative digits) has made me a bit ornery about my morning walks.  I am still doing them (sans my dog... I do not take her on the 5 mile walks when it is below 10 degrees outside), but the sudden drop has not given me much chance to acclimate.  But, I persevere and eventually it will get better.

    Warm here, compared to there, but a lot of damn rain and not enough sun.

    Good job on the walks.

    Doesn't walking in the dark bother you? There is a lot of disturbed people out there.

I appreciate all forms of comments on my writings. I find that I miss the sponteneity of coming to read them here when they were unmoderated. I believe I wrote less due to the moderation. I have decided to adopt limited moderation. Hopefully the prior problems with unfettered comments will not arise again. Please feel free to comment as you wish about the essays I write. I will maintain those comments that offer kind-hearted and gentle opinion... be it positive or negative. The opinions of your comments will, of course, need to have relevance to the post as well.
