The Real Epiphany
It was an exceptional dream.
Today is the real official date of Epiphany. As a young kid, I always imagined frankincense as smelling like a beautiful aromatic pipe tobacco.

I appreciate all forms of comments on my writings. I find that I miss the sponteneity of coming to read them here when they were unmoderated. I believe I wrote less due to the moderation. I have decided to adopt limited moderation. Hopefully the prior problems with unfettered comments will not arise again. Please feel free to comment as you wish about the essays I write. I will maintain those comments that offer kind-hearted and gentle opinion... be it positive or negative. The opinions of your comments will, of course, need to have relevance to the post as well.
I can picture you, in semi-retirement, relocating to a small town where there are pipe smokers but no proper tobacconists, and setting up your own tobacconist's shop to provide congenial social contacts and some extra income beyond your pension.
ReplyDeletePat: That is a very, very pleasant pipe dream! From your lips to God’s ear. :)

When I was a little girl there used to be a local shop that sold tobacco (from jars I think?) and it had the most wonderful smell.
ReplyDeleteOh indeed! I used to relish the smells as a kid in the tobacco shop my father frequented so long ago!!!!
DeleteYou dream of pipes? I dream of sex. My dreams are better than your dreams.

Hmmm. That seems logical.... I have had similar dreams. Yet, I have not had such dreams probably for in a few years. My wife has not been limiting to me on that score for the last few years, so perhaps I do not have those dreams as much any more because I am satiated in that regard? Not really sure.
