My walk today was much nicer than it has been for quite a while. It felt fresher. I think it is because it was much warmer this morning, almost 30 degrees! I am trying to contemplate on how to not get so wrapped up in thinking about things. I am trying to contemplate how to simply live and be happy. It sounds pretty damn foolish and convoluted, but I may just figure something out.

I appreciate all forms of comments on my writings. I find that I miss the sponteneity of coming to read them here when they were unmoderated. I believe I wrote less due to the moderation. I have decided to adopt limited moderation. Hopefully the prior problems with unfettered comments will not arise again. Please feel free to comment as you wish about the essays I write. I will maintain those comments that offer kind-hearted and gentle opinion... be it positive or negative. The opinions of your comments will, of course, need to have relevance to the post as well.
To simply live and be happy is to live simply so that you are not a slave to other things. Things like big pay checks that go to other things you are a slave to, big home payments and maintenance, taxes, insurance, etc, etc.
ReplyDeleteIt sure was peaceful and pleasant in your comment section yesterday.
After getting up this morning I took a couple of puffs and got a nice buzz so just sat and enjoyed it for a few minutes. But that happens so seldom anymore that it not worth smoking seeking it.
To bad such a bad habit can have such a grip on us.
Anyway, good that you enjoyed the walk.
Trying to help others with their happiness, or their misguided idea of happiness isn't necessarily a path to your own happiness. Just a thought.
ReplyDeleteSound like you had a lovely walk. Recently our weather been damp and drizzle...I actual enjoy walking but I seem to make excuses.
ReplyDeleteCoffee is on.
