Just Working on Things

The past several days have just been focused on working on a bunch of different things... Some at work, some at home.  I am trying to work hard to have the Fall be more streamlined and potentially more relaxing and enjoyable.  I guess in a way I am trying to "make hay while the sun shines" so-to-speak.  I hope my efforts prove fruitful.

The pipe is back down to the more typical 6 or 7 bowls again.  I am thinking about again adopting the strategy I had great success with during Lent.  I liked that pattern and was wholly successful with it through the entirety of Lent.  I need to figure out how to have that motivation during non-Lent times, which alluded me thus far unfortunately.

I was thinking of going to the library today to look for a new novelist to begin reading.  But, unfortunately, the library is closed on Sundays in the Summer.  Maybe I will go to the bookstore?  Possibly, but I like the range and age of the books at the library much more, and of course they are free too.

  1. The library here has not been open on Sundays for years.

I'm almost out of tobacco and will resist getting more.

I've been fucking around a lot and not doing much of anything, other than giving some things away to get rid of some of my clutter.

You ever hear from Doc Teri? Every so often she relocates her mind and sends me a short email blathering about absolutely nothing, but it is nice to hear from her and know that she is still kicking turds around.

  2. Robin Williams was a member of the Episcopal Church. He described his denomination in a comedy routine as "Catholic Lite—same rituals, half the guilt."

I appreciate all forms of comments on my writings. I find that I miss the sponteneity of coming to read them here when they were unmoderated. I believe I wrote less due to the moderation. I have decided to adopt limited moderation. Hopefully the prior problems with unfettered comments will not arise again. Please feel free to comment as you wish about the essays I write. I will maintain those comments that offer kind-hearted and gentle opinion... be it positive or negative. The opinions of your comments will, of course, need to have relevance to the post as well.
