Well, we are officially without A/C for probably a week. Our unit is kaput. But it was 30 years old, so I guess it is time. Unfortunately with the holiday weekend, getting a new one installed will take a while. A fellow is coming Wednesday to assess the types we can select from, and the it will be a wait to get in the queue to get it hooked up. Hopefully there are going to be improvements that make it a lot more efficient. It may be that we will get a new furnace at the same time (it is 30 years old too) if the new system together can blow a larger volume of air. Our old system was always a bit underwhelming in my opinion.

I appreciate all forms of comments on my writings. I find that I miss the sponteneity of coming to read them here when they were unmoderated. I believe I wrote less due to the moderation. I have decided to adopt limited moderation. Hopefully the prior problems with unfettered comments will not arise again. Please feel free to comment as you wish about the essays I write. I will maintain those comments that offer kind-hearted and gentle opinion... be it positive or negative. The opinions of your comments will, of course, need to have relevance to the post as well.
Put in a new heat pump system. Take time to research them, you shouldn't need A/C up there yet so have a little time.
