So Sleepy
There was a documentary at the U yesterday called "Deconstructing the Beatles Revolver Album" that I and my youngest son went to see. It was pretty amazing. It was a lecture of sorts, almost in the style of a TED talk by a professor of music, where he literally deconstructed different tracks is the song on the album and talked about the creative processes that occurrrd to produce the art of those songs. I have always enjoyed the Beatles because of the uniqueness of their music, and for me, I have always felt that personally "Revolver" is their best work, although others disagree. It was wonderful to have the speaker in the documentary take a very scientific approach to analyze the creative process on this art. It helped make the songs even more meaningful to me.
As usual, during this brief blog writing time, I am having my dirt pipe of the day while my dog does her "business". We are in the back yard, and as usual, she is easily distracted from her goals. Today, it it an errant squirrel chattering up in a tree that makes her "accomplishments" slow to arrive as she would rather bark and yammer at the squirrel than do her "duty". But, it gives me a little bit more pipe time and writing time here so that is ok.

I appreciate all forms of comments on my writings. I find that I miss the sponteneity of coming to read them here when they were unmoderated. I believe I wrote less due to the moderation. I have decided to adopt limited moderation. Hopefully the prior problems with unfettered comments will not arise again. Please feel free to comment as you wish about the essays I write. I will maintain those comments that offer kind-hearted and gentle opinion... be it positive or negative. The opinions of your comments will, of course, need to have relevance to the post as well.
Do you need a check up? Lethargy could mean something.
ReplyDeleteI saw a video of a guy using one of those little radio cars to exercise his dogs. Personally I think a radio squirrel or something would be better for them to chase. They (dogs) do their business faster and better if they move more.
I think the tiredness really is mostly due to change in seasons AND lack of sleep. I typically get only 5-6 hits a night during the academic year. I do better with 7-8 which I get in the summer.
ReplyDeleteHits was supposed to be hours. Damn autocorrect.
DeleteFor some reason I never got into Revolver. A huge Beatles fan I somehow missed out on that. And - and I can't believe I'm saying this - Sergeant Pepper. A lecture about it sounds fascinating.
