Tork
If you were following the news last week, you may have heard of the death of Peter Tork. He passed away at the age of 77.
He was a much more interesting and creative musician than he was given credit for. Same also for Michael Nesmith. Both Tork and Nesmith were quite strong, musically.

I appreciate all forms of comments on my writings. I find that I miss the sponteneity of coming to read them here when they were unmoderated. I believe I wrote less due to the moderation. I have decided to adopt limited moderation. Hopefully the prior problems with unfettered comments will not arise again. Please feel free to comment as you wish about the essays I write. I will maintain those comments that offer kind-hearted and gentle opinion... be it positive or negative. The opinions of your comments will, of course, need to have relevance to the post as well.
Sadly, i did read about Peter Tork's passing and agree with your comment that he and Michael Nesmith were more able musicians than they were given credit for in The Monkees.
ReplyDeleteI still get pissed when I think about them not being in Rock and Roll hall of fame..
ReplyDeleteI didn't hear about that. Strangely enough i was thinking about The Monkees today. I would love to revisit the shows. I loved them as a teenager for their quirky humour.
