Wednesday

Although much of the holiday weekend was relaxing, there were also a lot of challenges that unexpectedly arose.  A major challenge is that my SIL is needing to stay with us again as her husband is now driving out to the East Coast and my SIL will be needing help and support to get to dialysis and her other appointments.

It is challenging to get myself geared up for work this morning.  I ran this morning using a headlamp so that I could see the road in front of me, and complete that task before washing up to head to the U.  Unfortunately, there are so many things to do that my mind is swimming.  I have to submit an abstract sometime today as well, but when I checked just a few minutes ago, it was not functional.  This abstract submission is a competitive submission as there are a limited number of spots for emergent research data at this conference.  The competition is to get your abstract in before the maximum number of submissions allowed is reached, so I have to try to stay on track (even when teaching, apparently because the site is not yet open) to try to snag a spot.

That is about all I can write for today.  With Labor Day having been Monday, I will fold my comments into next Monday's comment effort.

  1. You sound stressed, PT! There are too many things going on and deadlines/competitions always make me nervous.

I appreciate all forms of comments on my writings. I find that I miss the sponteneity of coming to read them here when they were unmoderated. I believe I wrote less due to the moderation. I have decided to adopt limited moderation. Hopefully the prior problems with unfettered comments will not arise again. Please feel free to comment as you wish about the essays I write. I will maintain those comments that offer kind-hearted and gentle opinion... be it positive or negative. The opinions of your comments will, of course, need to have relevance to the post as well.
