Sour
I feel rather sour this morning.
- My friend passed away in hospice yesterday. I do not know how to write about the feelings I have related to this.
- At 5:30am we were in the midst of a heavy thunderstorm with the prospects of cold, heavy rain all day. I drove to the nearby track to run indoors. Unfortunately, some "big-wig" politico rented/requested the space to hold some sort of "rally" and there were crowd gates all around the building, and no one was allowed in for any purpose as they prepared for these asinine "festivities". I went back home.
- I am angry at the person I no longer write about here. This person is doing more crap that is frustrating, angering, annoying, and hurtful. That is all I can say.

Professor, I may be on "thin ice" with these comments regarding the person about whom you no longer write, and I'll be using an absurdly extreme example in order to make my point, but I hope I can express my concerns adequately. I am concerned that you might be giving this person far too much power over your life. Consider:
If this person, for example, renounced Catholicism and instead chose to worship Satan, that is the person's (incredibly foolish) choice, and while you would rightly be disappointed, you should not be "hurt" by the person's use of free will. You cannot and should not live another person's life.
However, if this person demanded to live under your roof and perform Satanic rituals in your shared kitchen, you would have a right to be angry, but you would also have a responsibility to put it to a stop, one way or another, as you would be condoning the activity by letting it happen under your roof.
Perhaps there would be a gray area if this person demanded to live under your roof, and only performed Satanic rituals away from the home. But if this person came home and provoked you by "rubbing your nose" in the Satanic behavior, you would rightly be angered, and if you accepted that provocation you would in effect become an enabler of the Satanism.
Now substitute for "Satanism" whatever the actual behaviors are that hurt and anger you. The person is presumably an adult who is entitled to do whatever crap the adult desires, without it being your business. But if the adult MAKES it your business by bringing the crap into your home, that crosses a line and unless you act you become an accomplice/enabler of the crap. In that circumstance, if you "hurt" you are hurting yourself.
You need peace and uplift in your life, whether it comes from your pipes or from harmonious relations with congenial family and friends. Please don't let someone else's stupid choices drag you down with them.
Those are 3 things that would not exactly cause you to be ecstatic. Tomorrow is another day. It is supposed to get warmer here. I don’t know about there.
Both daughters have made decisions that upset and worried me and I'm still concerned about them; that never changes no matter how old they/we get. It's exhausting sometimes. I hope that the situation can be resolved. I'm so sorry about your friend. It seems that we're at that age and stage of life where death lurks around the corner.
I'm sorry about your friend, and it ok not know how to express on feelings.
