The Real Epiphany
The above is a Dublin shaped pipe. In the very pleasant dreams I had overnight, I was indulging in a pipe very much like the above. The setting was such that I was of my current (old) age... but the time period was much earlier.... it felt somewhere like the late 1960s or perhaps the early 1970s. I was teaching, and having a generally wonderful time throughout the whole dream. The pipe tobacco I indulged in was a simple burley leaf with a hint of bourbon flavor.
It was an exceptional dream.
Today is the real official date of Epiphany. As a young kid, I always imagined frankincense as smelling like a beautiful aromatic pipe tobacco.

I can picture you, in semi-retirement, relocating to a small town where there are pipe smokers but no proper tobacconists, and setting up your own tobacconist's shop to provide congenial social contacts and some extra income beyond your pension.
Pat: That is a very, very pleasant pipe dream! From your lips to God’s ear. :)
PipeTobacco
When I was a little girl there used to be a local shop that sold tobacco (from jars I think?) and it had the most wonderful smell.
You dream of pipes? I dream of sex. My dreams are better than your dreams.

Oh indeed! I used to relish the smells as a kid in the tobacco shop my father frequented so long ago!!!!
Hmmm. That seems logical.... I have had similar dreams. Yet, I have not had such dreams probably for in a few years. My wife has not been limiting to me on that score for the last few years, so perhaps I do not have those dreams as much any more because I am satiated in that regard? Not really sure.
