Something about this pleases me.
Sounds yummy. As does the custom of having that bit of time alone.
I found a diner recently near me that makes a classic Monte Cristo sandwich. A sinful indulgence I allow myself once a month or so.
We have cut back on meat quite a bit but have not eliminated it. I can see why you look forward to that turkey sandwich.
